Another header question sorry

If I do go long tubes still tossing around the idea. We don't have emissions here yet. If I go long tube do they make a y pipe for people using the cat. If I go off road pipe what all do I have to do. Also thinking of going jet hot but still sitting on the fence. I would love kooks but to get the car back on the road there is a long list of parts. Been down for over a year. Any other brands that are good for changing plugs up there in quality.

I belive Kooks are the only company that manufacture a catted y-pipe for the LT1 long tubes. However, Kooks is very good quality and as a result, you pay for that quality meaning they are pretty expensive. Pacesetters are a good budget long tube and if you do decide to use the off-road y-pipe, you shouldn't run into any issues since you have a 95, you don't have to worry about the rear 02 sensors that the 96-97 models have. If you do decide in the future that you want to have cats installed into your y-pipe, Pypes makes a 3" mini-cat that will fit nicely on both sides of the off-road y-pipe.

Re: Another header question sorry

don't get pace setter long tubes. i have them and hate them. the fit and finish was terrible. i had to cut 1/4 off my one motor mount for them to fit. a lot of the welds are bird **** welds and the coating is kind of cheap and only on the outside. as far as power, they are nice for the money, but If i had to do it again, i'd get hookers or kooks.

Re: Another header question sorry

i have had pacesetters on two diff cars and i absolutley love em
first and foremost they are Inexpensive
secondly i personally have not had any fitament issues
the first set i had was coated and i do agree that theyre coating from a couple years back is crappy i have heard that they have improved their coatings since then so they may or may not be better
the only thing i dont like about them is the fact they have a slip fit collector which can be a pain when removing the y pipe down the road

but i have to say if budget was not an issue i would have Kooks headers

the jet hots and hooker are basically the same so if you decide to go that route find which ever is cheaper and it can save you a couple bux
