im thinking about ordering a new chrome alternator because i tried to start polishing mine, and well yeah...hasnt came out that great yet and i need to get one soon!! haha, anyways which one will i need amp wise? a buddy of mine said i should get one with more ampage because of my stereo and everything. is this true? i have the MBA polished fan and pulley to put on the new one too when i get it. also anyone know the best place to get a chrome one? thanks again :D

get a stock replacement as far as amps go. I have numerous accessories on my z and at one time had a 600 watt amp as well, never had a problem. Dont fall victim to overkill, buy a stocker.

stock amps idle is 85 running is around 105 so do the math on how many amps you will need to run your stereo, if you plan on running lots of amps, ide go with a higher alternator, 120 amps idle to 140 running, thats what i did
