alternator = oops

alright so i was putting my alternator back on and i was putting the wire back on the back, but little did i know that the battery was still plugged in. So as you can imagine i heard a loud pop. so my question is did i just completely destroy my alternator????

It happens, just try to make it a habit in the future if you are ever going to do electrical related work on your vehicle, to disconnect the battery.
