All problems fixed...wheres my performance?
 

OK guys and gals here goes...my car is finally back up and running thanks to alot of help from some people on here (thanks again!) the car runs great, and cruisin around i cant complain....but...sometimes ya just need to have some fun, like WOT fun. The car just doesnt have its go any more. For example-cruisin down the highway (Car has an A4) I have to MASH to the floor and if the car wants to, it will downshift and go, but that is only on occasion. The car will just accelerate, without downshifting at all 90% of the time. When it does downshift, it will go pretty good for a quick two seconds before the power cuts off, and the car starts to lose it, and upshifts and the fun is all over. Another example- Off the light the car used to LOVE roasting the tires and just continue to smoke em up, but now from a light all i get is a quick chirp before it begins to accelerate (And the performance is PITIFUL!) My 4.0 L Jeep had better acceleration than this thing does right now. This is really irritating me because the car used to be pretty quick, but now its just crap when it comes to performance, im almost gettin scared that the (dare i say it) import guys may have a chance! What can I do??? could it be a fuel problem? The car isnt modified to much (CAI, Vortec elbow, Cat back sys) but i cant have this big 8 run like a small 6! Any ideas? Thanks

car? engine? tranny? rear end? mods?

the way you talk about you tranny with it upshifting and downshifting is the tranny.


check your cat. converter to see if its clogging up!.

check plugs and wires!

homemade cai, but switching to a Moroso as soon as i have $$
Plugs are brand new (bosch plat 4), wires arent in bad shape, but may need to be changed

Problems before- Coil went bad, ICM went bad

how do i check cat?

any other ideas
