besides reliablity issues would a driver notice a power increase from releaving the opti of its dutys?

i mean i know the optisparks are one of the lt1's biggest downfalls would it be worth my while to replace the opti with an aftermarket ignition along w/ a coil?

 

Maybe its just me but.....how the HELL would you do that? From the looks of your post your talking about putting in a distributor type system or something??? I don't quite get your question. We already have a coil.
