AFR head question

If you get the LT4 AFRs, will they absolutely not work with the LT1s?

If this is the case, where can I get an LT4 intake?

slopokrodrigez Feb 16, 2004 12:18 PM

From Summit.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...NAL%2D12550630
or GMpartsdirect for $202.00

Thanx dude.

Do you by chance know the LT1 runner size?

slopokrodrigez Feb 16, 2004 01:49 PM

Phew I'm gona have a brain hemmorage if I try to remember that one. Shoot a PM to Injuneer. By the way I don't think you can port match to the gasket. Check it on both pieces before you do anything.

Sent you a PM.

I compared an LT1 and LT4 intake side-by-side and saw little or no difference. The LT4 ports are narrower at the top, but the location appears to be the same.

'96-97, and some late '95 intakes have port shape, at flange, to replicate that of the LT4s. Earlier intakes had a crisp rectangular shape to them, unlike the LT4 intakes, or the intake ports of LT1/4 heads, of any years.

Mine had rectangular ports that are actually larger than the stock LT4 ports, which taper narrower at the top.
