Adjustable fuel pressure regulator..
Well, I was told once before that this is a pointless modification to do, but I will ask once more. I found a web site that showed a significant improvement just by bolting on an afpr..
http://www.ws6.com/mod-7.htm What are your opinions??? I was told before that the PCM will recognize the change in pressure and eventually adjust it to its liking. Thanks |

Okay...so I am a dumbass...:D
So, in order for the PCM NOT to keep adjusting the fuel pressure, I will need to get it custom programmed??? |
Basically, yes. The computer's not changing your fuel pressure, you *can* set that with an AFPR, but it's changing the pulse widths on you, accomplishing the same thing. A computer program can change that.

So basically the car adjusts itself and you lose the HP gain you get with the AFPR? Wouldn't setting it back to stock level (in my case 39PSI) cause the computer to reset itself. Than when I'm at the track I can reset it to the higher PSI to regain the power?
EDIT: Actually found my answer elsewhere. Turns out the '93's do not self correct when the fuel pressure is changed. Yet another reason why 93's rock! :metal: |
