Question Abs Inop Code: C1286

OK,
So I finally got around to the ABS INOP light I've had for quite some time now... I had my friend scan this at the lil shop he works at with a snap on scanner... I have no codes what so ever in the abs system other then this "C1286" which says "ABS Turned on Red Brake Light" I have no clue as to what the hell this is... Can someone help me please... This is the ONLY CODE.....

Please help, I'd like to make this ABS INOP light go away.....

Check to make sure that you plug wires are not touching the brake stuff. I know my plugs were touching my brake lines (the hard lines on top of the motor and drivers side)and it caused my ABS to act up. After I got the plug wires moved the ABS worked great. Good luck.

C1286 is normally a history code and just for information purposes. Another ABS code would likely set it off, but if there were no other ABS codes present, just clear the code from history and drive on.

there are two bulbs but if there working then your problem may lie else where.

Your blinker would flash pretty quickly if you had a burnt out bulb too.

Other codes trigger it. If you had no other codes, I don't know what to tell you.
