abs inop?
 

my abs inop light has been on for a while now and i dont know what it means it doesnt seem to affect the braking what wrong with it if someone could help me

My ABS light comes on once in a while, i turn off the car and then back on and it goes out.

Check the brake fluid level. I think when that is low it trips the light and shuts off the ABS system. Have it checked out.

My light stays on too. Check the Rear ABS sensor on top of the differential. If it isn't that one you have to have each sensor on each wheel checked.

I wouldn't worry about it too much ever since I got my new computer installed that lights stayed on the whole time yet I see no difference in braking etc..

Try this: change both the bulbs in your third brake light. One of mine was burned out and the other was on it's way to dying also. Changed them and my abs inop light was gone. My friend had the same exact problem w/ the abs light sometimes being on and sometimes being off, he changed the 3rd brake bulbes and his abs light is off now also. If this doesn't work, check all the sensors.

yes, if your third brake light (in the spoiler) is burnt out, you will probally have the abs inop light coming on. this is what happened to me.

If none of the above works, clean all of the grounds in the little red box on the top of the passengers side fender well.

my abs inop light came on when i had a speed sensor on the drivers front wheel go out. it was skipping from 11-15 mph. the sensor is not cheap thought so try the other stuff first.

Maybe you meant next to the red box. The ones in the red box aren't grounds, they are battery. :D

Do check the ground lug that is next to the red box. That is where your ABS is grounded.

My abs inop light comes on when I get on the throttle. I get some wheel hop shifting into second and on comes my abs inop light. Any ideas there??

i changed both the lights in the spoiler and the light went off so thanks for your guys help on that
