Abs Inop????
 

i been driving around with a broken tranny/tranny mount for a while now since im replacing the whole unit i don't care if i muck it up...

well starting yesterday... when i accidentally give it too much gas at once and the tranny tries to shake the car apart... the abs inop light came on...

so i tested it... and yes... the abs didn't work...

everytime i restart the car after sitting for a little bit... the light doesn't come back on... and the abs works... until the tranny does its dance of death... at which point the light comes back on and the abs takes a dump...

whats causing this??? :confused:

is the abs inop light blinking or staying on? Try this, hold the brake down before you start your car and see if it works. I had a similar problem with my car and that seems to fix it.

its solid, when its on...

but i know its directly related to the tranny shakin like a biatch... am i knocken some sensors or computer chips loose?? :eek: :confused:

Scan it and get the code. Even if the light is off, the code will still be there.
