i have a question, my friend has a 96 trans am. he bought a nitrous kit. he said that he should retard his timing 2 to 4 degress. but the computer controls the timing. how would he control this? thanks for any information.

You could use an MSD box that will retard the timing as soon as the nitrous starts flowing.

 

just mix in some race gas...that'll work and it will be alot cheaper than buying a 300 dollar box to do the work.

 

do you know which msd box this is?

 

I want to say 6BTM, take a look at that one.
