Re: 96 T/A no start
i am able to pop the clutch and it will start and run fine. i can hot wire the starter direct and it will start fine
i forgot to mention that when the key is all the way forward where it cant go any farther the previous owner had a security switch installed to where you have to hold the pass power window motor up to start the car. when the key is foward it has power but nothing and when you hit the switch it enables the starter. any ideas which wires the window switch would be tied into? |
Re: 96 T/A no start
im going to bypass it all buy running an old pop truck switch with a wire to the battery and to the s terminal on the starter to get me by. if ANYONE has any ideas about this please chime in. but it looks like its getting out of my hands........

Re: 96 T/A no start
You need to take off the plastic peice on the pass. side near the door. The window wire is a light blue wire there's two (95 ta) it's the thicker one. It's like a 12 gauge wire and the other ones like a 16-18gauge. The thicker wire is the one that was spliced into to make the window starter kill. It probably runs to a simple relay somewhere just follow the wires. You can undo the connections and change it back to stock from there. HTH
