94 Z28 Suspension upgrade tips
Hey everyone!
I havent had much time to research the best options for a suspension upgrade. I am looking to upgrade my suspension from the stock package for hi performace street application. I will be driving the car more than just on occasion for a while but I am not extremely concerned about a tight, slightly rough ride. I am pretty sold on the Eibach spring and Bilstien shocks but I am open to suggestions on those and other things like lower control arms, sway bars, track (panhard) bars, subframe connectors, etc.
Please post your opinions on this and your success/disappointment stories. Remember this will not be a track car, It will be primarily a street car driven car.

I would sugguest you look at Koni single or double adjustable shocks. They're expensive, but well worth the money.
LCA's: Boxed or tubular, doesn't make much difference. I have adjustable ones, and you only need those if your going to go with a tire taller than 26".
www.bmrfabrication.com makes all sorts of good stuff, like LCA's, sub frames, panhard rods, sway bars, ect. I also sugguest you get a torque arm too. It'll help out too.
I've got Kenny Brown double diamond SFC's. I love them, and they've got more tie in points than any other SFC. I'm going to be cutting mine off though, and moving up to a roll cage. I don't need both.

Do the subframes first, you will not regret it.
The eibach pro kit is a good choice for springs. The sportlines are too low for my liking.
Bilsteins are a good shock, as are the KYBs. The KYB just give you the added flexibility of adjusting them.
Lower controll arms, with relocation brackets, and an adjustable panhard bar are almost necessary when lowering your car.
Sway bars, cant say b/c i havent used any aftermarket on my Z.
Strut tower brace gives solid steering response, not the sloopy front end you are used too.
Torque arms are nice too. Get one that gets the mounting point off the tranny mount.

everything everyone else said + get larger sway bars, especially in the rear
ive seen lots of people say you dont "handle" any better with the bigger sway in the back, but its much more fun
i looove it. i think i have a 32 (or 35) mm in the front and a 25mm in the back. my old z had stock bars. this one understeers considerably less (maybe its in my head, i dunno) . sway bars are practically the cheapest susp mod, so even if you dont like it, you wont lose much. jmo.
