94 z

I have an opportunity to get my hands on a 94 Z28. a little over 100k on the clock and it runs fairly well. has an Automatic and is in decent cosmetic condition. I've been reading up on the LT1 forum for a while and know that i definitely need to keep an eye on the opti. What are some other things that I should look at so that i at least know what i'm getting into? Thanks in advance

Just basic stuff. Make sure it runs fine, look for oil leaks (back of intake manifold, front and rear main), check the tires, etc.

Yeah I assumed the basics. I always check the basics on any vehicle i look at I'm just looking for anything particular to the LT1 that I should check other than the aforementioned opti. Thanks 93FIRETURD this is the first time in quite a long time i will be getting an automatic w/o the intention of changing it to a manual. I'm not exactly a new f-body owner though (check my sig I have 3 other camaros lol and a manual will be going into the 79 fairly soon) but I'll be sure to check the fluid like that.

Oops didn't read the sig. Yeah these transmissions are known for their 3-4 clutch pack being weak so burnt fluid could be a sign of a very costly repair in the near future.

Thanks again. I learned something new today. Like i said I don't know a whole lot about automatics. Anything else particular to the LT1 Camaros that I should look for?
