94 camaro wont start

bought a 1994 z28. ran great. really fast car. then i went up to my work and i left i the car outside running. i was only going to be five minutes, but ended up being twenty. when i came back out it wasnt running. i tried to start it but it sounded like it was flooded. so i held the peddle on the floor. still wouldnt start. well now i am pissed i only had the car a day, and it wont start. so i left and came back about two hours later. the engine would turnover but wouldnt start adn it was making weird noises in the block. at first it would sound like it was fixxing to start but then it reallly started to do nothing but turnover. the fuel rail has pressure but i dont know how much. please help. i would like to fix it myself as i just spent every dime i had to pay for the car.
thanks

stupid question , but you sure you have gas in that thing ? LOL

maybe the fuel gauge is off and it ran out of it while sitting there for 20 minutes.

I would start with the basics first. Find out if its getting fire from one of the plug wires. If not then see if its getting fire from the coil and just work your self back. Worse case senario is that your opti is shot, but hopefully not.
