The 96 car requires a different part number. Also I agree with Javier97Z28, don't waste your money on this. I used one on my 95 basically just because of a gear change. Performance wise, I felt little improvement.

Unless you want to change gears or tire sizes the only thing i see useful is the ability to change the speed limiter or shift points. I would not have paid what i did for the little it helped.
