93 obdI coversion

What are the advantages to doing a OBDII to OBDI conversion and would I be able to use an LT4 knock module if I do this conversion to my car?

A 93 already has obd1......provide more info.

Yep, 93s were OBDI except they had a non flash ECM as opposed to 94 and newer cars which got one. Doing a flash PCM conversion on a 93 is simply not worth the time and money in my opinion.

'93s can't use the LT4 KM, '94-'97 cars can, so if you were to swap a '94-'95 computer in there, you can use the LT4 KM and still be obd1 and be able to use a programmer instead of burning a chip. Not sure if it is worth doing or not. I know you will have to get a Mass air sensor, don't know what other sensors there were after 93, maybe a crankshaft positioning sensor.

The 94+ also control the transmission. Don't know, but it may throw a code if no trans info is being sent to it.

I swaped my 93 to a 94 type PCM. It was not nearly as hard or expensive as people make it out to be. I did it for the ease of tuning for my new motor. It drives much better than with the 93 setup. For a motor with just the basic bolt ons, I would say it's not worth it.
