I can change the plugs on mine in 50 mins to an hour (take off the alternator included in the time). Having headers definitely makes the job easier.

I replaced all 8 plugs and my header gaskets a couple weeks ago and it took me less than an hour total for both sides. It made me mad to think about how much money I paid the shop to do it last time. I didn't even have to get under the car or lay across the motor. Just put the ratchet and plug socket on their and take it out. Ive never done it with the stock manifolds on there so maybe that really is a 4 hour job but I still have a hard time believing that it takes that long to do.

I have never had as much trouble getting them out as starting the threads. I have dropped a couple and if i take a 10 minute break between plugs it really cuts the actual time down a lot. Hand cramps slow me down alot.

haha hand cramps, so Im not the only one! I dont think you can see #8 on the rear of the engine from below can you? Its all blind? Ive got it to about a hour. I find changing #8 is the best to start with that way the hardest is done first and the swelling does down by the time your done lol.

You can certainly see it...u just have to be under the car at the right angle and if it's your first time like it was mine, it was very well hidden behind a heat shield around the boot.
