Can anyone figure this out for me. I had a brain fart and decided to drop to 2nd at 80 and was wondering how high my RPM's shot up. Nothing bad happened, just didn't go. I definitely saw the RPM gauge max out

I don't know what I was thinking, but I had to beat an Audi TT that sped up on my *** at like a buck 20 on highway. I did blast him away once I shifted to 3rd, lol.

 

You could have asked in "the dumbest thing u ever did" form so u dint have to waste another post lol

 

About 7100 RPM. Ouch. Are you trying to rev like the little 4-bangers?

yea, I already asked in that thread, but decided to try and get a definite answer.

And, yes, I now officially know what it is like to rev my engine to the moon and make no power like our import friends....

 

at first I thought you said you had 2.73's, so I was gonna tell you that you did no harm to your car at all. But after reading it more closely, seeing how you have 3.73's, you're screwed! lol hehe j/k.

 

with stock sized tires it is exactly 7 grand at 80....good work lol

 

yep they're stockers... I ca't believe nothing happened. I think my car is indestructible. O yea, BTW. I have 168,000 miles
