i am converting to a 700r4 trans and my question is why 700r4 has 4 prong wire and my 4l60 has a 5 prong wire that hooks in the side why is this and how do i fix this problem 93 camaro z-28 4l60 trans

 

700r4 = 4l60

 

then why is the prong wire harness diffrent mine 5 it 4 please help

The 93's came with the 700R-4. The 700R-4 is also the same as the 4L60. The automatic tranny in the 94+ cars is the 4L60-E. The only difference that I am aware of is the 4L60-E is shifted by the computer and the 700R-4/4L60 is shifted by vaccum pressure.

I am no professional so if I am wrong, please correct me. This is just how I understand the tranny's. Good luck.
