4L60E to TH400?

I am putting a Turbo 400 in my 94 Z28. I need to know how to connect the speedo to the ABS so I can have an acurate speed indicator. Have any of you ever done this? Some help would be great.

Try a search. I know there's a post that gives the GM part #s.

One tip, put the reluctor ring on the output shaft before the transmission is together. Made that mistake.

Check on the Jaguars that Run website... they have the part number for the VSS. The VSS only feeds the PCM, which feeds the speedo.... no connection to the ABS.

Injuneer:

Where did you get the crossmember? I need on for mine and can't seem to find one.

Use an M6 x-member. You may have to slot the hole a little bit, but it's close enough.

BMR may make one now too. I seem to remember seeing that somewhere.

Sweet, thanks for all the info. Can the M6 crossmember be modified to take the torque arm?

mongse_1 Nov 5, 2003 10:45 AM

I guess it could, but most people run a torque arm that doesn't tie into the transmisison (Spohn, Madman, BMR Xtreme, etc.)

I used my stock M6 cross-member, but it took more than a simple slotting of the holes. We had to add a piece to the back of the stocker:

Trans cross-member

And its not because of the Gear Vendor... support location is unchanged from where it was without the GV.

I wouldn't want to keep the stock TA load on the tranny.... to me its just in invitation to problems. The Spohn TA works great.

I have a BMR adjustable TA, I just didn't want the extra cost of buying a new one.
