375rwhp ,,what cam?
with lyod elliot p+p'd heads, and longtube headers, basic bolt ons,,what cam could you get 375+rwhp from without reving extremely high, and keeping mild street drivability?

:D
See sig, although my heads flow a little better than Lloyd's heads. |
also take a look at the Crane GM847, it's one mean SOB and with the proper valvetrain setup will make use of decent heads like your installing. I researched for 7 months prior making my decision and hands down could not be more pleased with the results.

Problem with the 847 and ported heads is that it's peak is going to come pretty high. Upwards of about 6400+.

The CC 306, GM 847, or a Custom Grind, like from Mr. Overton would give u those #'s.

i was looking at
227/233 ----might be a lil small 230/236 -----read it peaks around 6500-a little too high 233/239 don't know much about how does that zz409 cam compare to these? can u buy that in a kit? from where? also, the 847 isn't really street drivable is it? i have to drive it almost everyday. |
how far off is the cc305 from the cc306 ? I didn't get the 306 right now because I can't do work on my heads till next probably next year, how much power can i pull from the 305 with nonported heads, but with new spings, 1.6 rockers, etc.
And then with fully ported and polished heads ? Or would i be much better off with the 306 and take out the 305 next year? |

The 306 cam is 230, 244 on a 112.

It's all relative to the rest of your engine configuration and good PCM tuning. Don't get me wrong, I think the 847 is an outstanding cam, and have considered a swap to it myself if my 224/230 setup doesn't work out like I'm hoping. |

It makes peak power at 6100-6200 and I shift at 6400. I've driven this car a lot with 3.42's and 4.10's and to be perfectly honest, the 3.42's weren't that bad. Best MPH was 115 but my crappy driving could only muster a best of 12.39. :D Mike |
Give Lloyd a call and he'll get you a badass custom grind cam to match the heads(by none other than Joe Overton). Being a 6 speed, 375rwhp will be pretty easy.
