if your on a $2000 budget, new heads are out of the question. Even sending them out will eat up a fair chunk of your budget, port them youself

Porting them himself probably wont get him to 400 rwhp

Take a set of heads (200ish) and send them to Llyod (1200) and get a cam (250). Then all the other stuff, RR's etc and you'll top that 2,000 easily

Depends how big u go...but it u want 400 rwhp, you dont want a tiny cam...
a nice idle cam and some nice heads will get u closer to 350

oh wait, you dont have the basic bolt ons do u?
SCREW the heads/cam for now...

headers, CAI, catback, cutout, suspension mods first...

Why can't you do a catback?

the car has to appear stock, otherwise catback would be the first thing.

whys it gotta appear stock? and if you want to, you can do a catback and put on the stock tips, that would make it look stock

Once I get my ws6 wheels, my car will make a pretty good sleeper. It dyno'd 384rwhp/363rwtq before tuning, and should be over 400 now. I've got a stock muffler but its louder than stock due to the long tube headers. I can idle it at 900-950 and it doesn't lope at all. Last week it went 11.84 at 114.7 at the local track. Although, your not going to get this for $2000. Just spray it.

I thought headers were quiter at idle and crusing only untill you get on em is when they're louder than the stock manifolds.
