2nd to 3rd gear shift
 

i noticed my trans sometimes does not like to shift from 2nd to 3rd
i will have to let off the gas completly then wait 4 it to shift, then floor it again and all will be ok

there is no slipage and no other problems

this prob has caused me to lose some races :(


any ideas???

Sounds like your tranny is on its way out. Doesnt surprise me either with the kinda power your are putting out.

tranny been doing that for about 20,000 miles now

if it is failing - what part controls 2-3 shift? why does it shift if i let off the gas? why is there no slippage? why is there no other issues?
