My gf's 94 Z28 has 2 ac problems, maybe related I dunno. First the ac works great when it works, fairly new compressor, charged correctly. When you push the accelerator more than about 1/4 of the way the fan for the ac goes to a really low speed and the air gets hot till you back off the accelerator. The second problem and its happened 2x now is that the ac compressor refuses to turn on. What I do is pull the pcm fuse for about 30 seconds, then everything works fine, except for problem #1. Only thing I can think of is possibly a faulty low pressure switch. any suggestions?

The reason the fan appears to slow down when you push the throttle is you have a vacuum leak in the AC controls.

I'll pm you more information rather than waste a lot of space here. Fix that problem first and then go after the other. If removing the PCM BAT fuse is helping then you must be setting a code. Retrieve it and go from there.
