1993 z28 stall issue

Hey guys, my 93 has stalled on me a couple of times now. I can feel it coming when it happens, its very slow and can feel it gradually loosing power until it dies out. It has happened 3 times now. Once it happens it will start up again after I let it crank a couple of times, not instantly but I'll crank it for 5-10 seconds, stop and try again, and will start the 2nd or 3rd time I do it. Do not need to let the car sit at all before I do. I think this is a fuel related issue, so I'm curious if anything has happened to anyone else.

P.S.
I've all ready replaced my optispark for that stalling issue. I know it is not that. When my opti was bad, it would completely cut out all at once and then would not restart, this is a different issue.

I would change the fuel filter first and see if that helps. You might need a fuel pressure test.Hope this helps.

Get a fuel pressure reading. Hook up a gauge and find out what your priming pressure is and what your idle pressure is. It sounds fuel related to me so that would be a good place to start.

Test first, replace parts only when needed.

Probably wouldn't hurt to scan for codes, particularly since it's so easy to do on the 93.

Just a thought, my 94 went thru a phase of hard starting, crank for 30 to 45 seconds and then fire off and run. After it was warm it seemed ok. Finally had codes pulled and it ended up being the water temp sensor for the computer (sensor in the water pump) after changing it I had no starting problems what so ever. It did stumble from time to time while driving but never quit. Anyway just a thought.
