very easy to install.......it took my friend (who just bought a camaro, and knew nothin about it) about 20 min. it's located below the intake elbow, take the two bolt off, then take out the old one and plug in the new one......that's it

i was planning on getting a 160stat until i read the owners manual on how to replace the thermostat.
It said i had to drain the whole radiator, then put the stat in and refil it. Is this true? do you have to do this? sound slike a PITA |
well, i just changed mine and i didnt drain the radiator. I think it says that just saying that it would be a good idea to service the whole system while changing it. Btw, only a little coolant came out, but you still need to put rags around it to protect the opti.

You certainly do not have to drain your radiator to replace the thermostat--as stated in the link posted by Shoebox. :)

no you dont have to drain the whole radiator......but it is better, if you have a big piece of towel, so that the water doesnt get into ur opti......
|
U can replace it without bleeding the system if u are quick:D Have towels handy, and the stat ready, quickly R and R..
