i picked up a 94 TA for like 1000 dollars (traded my snowmobile for it) car is an auto, stock everything beside a flowmaster muffler. car went 14.17@99 with a 2.1 60foot, i think im 800 foot above sea level where i was at. it realy suprised me expecialy with 121k on the clock! i just wanted to see what it could do expecting like a 14.6 i know its not like record breaking or anything but it sure impressed me for being stock. maybe i can get some 13's out of it stock with a little PCM tuning

 

Thats sweet...I dont know much about T/A's but it seems pretty quick for that many miles and it being stock...

I am curious what my 93 Z28 would run...110k small mods???

 

Thats what these cars should run stock so it looks like that car was Maintained well.

 

oh and im prety sure it has the 2.73 gears too it has the 115mph speedo, and speedlimiter at 105

 

14.17 is pretty much normal.
EDIT: Just seen my timeslips, I guess 14.17 is pretty darn good, I thought I ran 14.2's stock, but it was 14.3's, nice times for a high milage car!

 

14.17 for an auto, 2.73 geared 121k mile trans am (heaviest f-body) is pretty good. you have a strong running car!

throw a cutout on it, cold air intake, PCM tuning, and some nitrous!

 

I say Gears, Stall, CAI and Exhaust

 

I bet as soon as you put some mods on it that thing will start getting slower at that mileage... lol's.

 

13s are very achievable!! Check the car for mods you just cant see as a car that old may have passed hands and few times and have more than meets the eye.

 

i installed a nitrous kit on it but the bottle was empty at the track i know the last 3 owners and all they did was that muffler, ive been inside and out of that car and cant find anything thats not stock!

That sounds pretty good, that is almost exactly what my car ran when it was stock, I had 2.73's too, and only changed them out last year, but they took me into the 12's...

Definily a nice running car for the miles...

 

isn't like a 13.8 the best from lt1's bone stock (manual, steeper gear, non TA version)

 

Ha Ha 121K miles is just breaking these cars. no "in" to it.

the sum i bought my car was no small amount and i've put an equal amount back in to the car just keeping it running. even then it STILL runs like a turd. i think i got a monday or a friday car.
