Blower, forged bottom end, and 12 bolt. Should be about right. You're going to eat up your budget pretty quick though.

A bottle + 12 bolt = 10's little lady ... But for longetivity. Gonna need a shortblock at least. W/ a turbo would be mighty nice .

Re: 10 second LT1s...

heads and cam, good tranny and rear end, some simple weight reduction

That is all that is needed. Easily done under 10 grand

355 Bottom end built for N2O, Ported LT1 heads, good cam setup like a solid roller, then buy a good N2O setup, that should put you there and keep you running. Going to a 383 is not going to get you any faster really unless you spend the coin on the right heads, then you could be close NA say low 11's high 10's, and low 10's on a small shot.

Re: 10 second LT1s...

We got a couple cars on here in the 10s on stock short blocks, just good h/c set ups with gas. Your h/c set up should get 11s, whats the specs on it? I'd just do a stock cube rebuild, good pistons, decent rods, TH350, some suspension and spray the **** out of it. Get a 12 bolt when the 10 bolt breaks, but I have a few friends with TH350, two went 10.80s on their 10 bolt, another guy I know hit 6.40s in the 1/8, Th350 stock 10 bolt.

Re: 10 second LT1s...

ok.. So lots of different options. I don't want to spray the crap out of it because I still have to drive it around. I have another vehicle but it's a bike so limited options. Anyhow, I'll think it over and try to figure out the cheapest way to do it. Thanks for the advice everyone.

8 to 1 compression 355, p-1 or d-1 procharger, 12 bolt. is it an auto or t56? if auto get a big stall, if it is a stick then dump it off the rev limiter at the line

Bolt Ons, Heads, Big cam, good stall, good rear = 10s!
No spray, no boost, no built bottom end needed. And still streetable

I had to fix that post of mine.

N2O and RPM will eat up a stock bottom end over time, it's not called crack for nothing! It's addictive like it and it's going to do that to the parts over time.

Will a stock bottom end do it? Yeah is it going to break at one point with 6800rpm and a bunch of extra PSI and maybe some lean conditions beating on the parts, not for a really long time.

Re: 10 second LT1s...

stock short block, completely stock heads except for springs, tiny comp cc503 cam, weight reduction and a lot of suspension and my car runs consistent high 11's on motor and consistent high 10's on a 150 shot.

Where's a good place to get that done? I know we did some little tuning after we ported my cylinder heads but I know we never dynoed it. Thanks for the help.
