****! Looks like a rebuild?

Comments? Everything was running fine, no burning oil, no ticking, ran great tillt he head gaskets after overheating. Crosshatch pattern's still well pronounced on cylinder walls. |
is that just colant sitting in your cylinders, or is that actuall oil from the rings blowing?
|
Having the cylinders mic'd is the only way to tell how much wear is on them. You can get an idea from the ring groove at the top of the cylinder. Looks like 5 and 7 is where it was leaking and worse on 7. If you were not using any oil before the gasket went, you probably have some life left. The only thing is how much coolant got into the oil. The coolant can really kill your bearings.

Thanks for the replies, no coolant got into the oil, the gaskets just melted I guess or something else because there was no coolant in the engine when it died!
I had no oil burning problems whatsoever... thats seafoam in the cylinders. |
