Re: Wow!

Yeah, that always cracks me up. Similar are the "327" trucks.

Re: Wow!

yep, 346 point something. Manufactured in Canada, so it's measured in metric.

Re: Wow!

i think the 3.8 liter is 3800 cc's so god knows what the 346, or 347 (whichever) is in metric. not talking liters.

Yes i know, i meant the reason that it's such an odd number in difference to a simple '350' is that the engines were manufactured in canada where they use a different unit of measure, namely cc's. It's an even number in cc's, but not in cubic inches.

Same reason we have 16.8 gallon tanks. in liters, that's a whole number.

1000cc = 1 Liter

Not talking liters? Then you must mean cc's. It would be approximately 5700cc. This really isn't all that hard considering GM calls our engine the "5.7 Liter LS1".

I'm guessing you typed faster than you thought.

Re: Wow!

Any gains felt @ 20 MPH is all lid. No ram air will kick in until much faster. Unless...you could be setting in a windtunnel, but then the added drag would negate the gains.

Re: Wow!

the FRA is not really much of a "ram air"...

the gains felt from it can be at lower speed, but they are a result of a less restrictive air box. which can be felt at any speed.
