what gear ratio

what gear ratio

i have a 2002 conv camaro the gearing is stock at 323. at 60 mph it runs at 1630 rpm. if i go to 373 gearing what does it tach. as i understand 373 gears are in most camaro's

there haven't been 3.73 gears in a Fbody for at least 2 generations (82-02) stock. not even sure about in the 2nd gens.

for the 4th gens it has either 2.73 or 3.23 in the autos and 3.42 in the m6 cars.

You should try the Drivetrain forum.

3.73's are a great choice for A4's though. IIRC, mine cruised @ 2800 around 80mph, 2450 around 70, and 2100 around 60.

3.73s are probably your best all-around bet for an auto LS1.
