What Coolant to use
 

I know that this is an old issue, but I find mostly old answers to my question.
I have a 2000 Z28, what coolant should I put back in it. I have 76,000 miles and I bought it used. Looks like it could use a flush and change. Manual says Dex-Cool but I read on some sites bad idea. Class action suits and not the best product. What's up??
Think I can figure out how to bleed and etc.
Living in So Cal it's not like it gets real cold but would like to change anyway.

Pre Mixed 50/50 would do the job. Any good brand will do.

The class action suit on Dex-Cool dealt with a problem with the intake manifold gasket on the V6's.

Please do not double post a topic. Plus, if you have a 2000 Z28, you don't have an LT1, so you are in the wrong forum.

Moving.....

LS1s rarely have any problems with Dexcool. Just make sure to properly bleed the system.
