Question What is the best exhaust system out there for the money?

Between Corsa, B&B triflow exhaust, and slp loudmouth, what is the best sounding exhaust out there with performance? I don't want somethign that sounds tiny like Borla!

If you get a chance, try looking at www.ls1.com . If you click on the FAQ icon at the top. You will find a page of commonly asked questions and some very good info, including exhausts.

One you get to the page, scroll way down and you will see sections, for engines, cooling, exhaust....etc. It's a very nice site.

Good Luck
Mark

If you have the money, I would go Corsa all the way. All Stainless, so it will last. The hardware almost seems like an overkill! Performance upgrade is great, and the sound will put a smile on your face every single time you start it! I don't care what kind of day you had...once you fire it up, give it some revs...its something! sound clips don't do any setups justice

My vote goes for the Magnaflow catback. Quiet at idle, rumbles when you get on it without the rasp & costs $400 shipped. made of stainless steel & muffler & tips are polished.

My vote is on the Corsa as well. Expensive, but built to last forever. On top of that it looks awesome on the car and the sound is amazing. Add some headers and it's a way different sound that's even better yet!

my vote is for Banks!..I took off the Borla for it,and it is so much better sounding..very deep and mellow sounding with no rasp...Plus it is also all stainless steel and the price is just awesome!...retail is like $500!...so the street price on the system is about $375 or so...By far the best sounding and performing system on the market now for the $$$

I gotta give it up for the Loudmouth. $150 off of the For Sale forum here, less weight than a regular catback exhaust, plus a good exhaust note. Best bang for the buck exhaust.

The Corsa was the first thing on the car. I liked it a lot and it was the fastest mod I ever had done to the car. It took longer to jack the car up than it did to put on.

The sound was somewhat subdued with the stock manifolds, y-pipe and cats. But don't get me wrong, it still sounded very nice.

Now, with the headers this was the lengthiest mod I've done yet. It took a bit of time to get all the bolts on and off the manifolds to the headers. You can already tell it's a tight fit in there. However, when it was all said and done the results are far beyond any expectation that I ever had. No video does the sound justice with it. And it's pretty awesome at the dragstrip when you can really let it loose. Above 3 grand it just screams.

The cool part is inside the car it's quite nice when driving around. Not loud or obnoxious and can be driven for a very long duration without irritation. And with the T-Tops out it sounds even better.

Performance wise I did pick up 45HP to the rear wheels after adding the lid, headers and Corsa. As a result I've absolutely pulverized my clutch lately! It's pretty damn powerful as it stands right now and puts a big grin on your face everytime I jump on it.

Overall, I'm just impressed as hell with it. Much like everyone else is with their own. Let me know if you want any more info on it!

I know Corsa makes a quality product, but it looks like the tips stick out too far in the back in the advertisement pics. Feedback? I used a 4" Mufflex exhaust on my LT1, with awesome results, and have gone with a 3.5" for the LS1. We'll see how it works out.

The tips on my TA are absolutely perfect. You also can adjust the tip in and out about 2" or so and still clamp it on. You can also rotate it to fit, control how high or low it is and how far left and right it needs to be.

I think that they look really good on the TA because of the notches already in there for the exhaust. However, I have not seen what it looks like below the bumper of a Camaro. That could be something completely different in other opinions.
