Went to the track tonight.

I ran 3 times and ran 3 13.20. I dont think i did that bad. All runs i ran 106 mph. I know that the car has more in it because of the 60'. The best i could do is a 2.1 and the other two were 2.2. I was spining the first time then i just babied it out the the hole the second two times. I am going to go next week with my bfg's and hope to hit a high 12. I dont have subframe connectors so i dont know if the drag radials is a good idea tho.

How would SFC effect the Rear?... My buddy ran through two sets of drag radials and beat his car kinda good, the rear never gave him problems.. had minimal mods, tho.

SFC's help prevent unibody twist off the line when you're pulling 60' ers near 1 sec. Only crazy HP cars tend to twist the unibody enough to do damage.

Kinda rule of thumb there is, If your front wheels are coming off the ground, then SFC's are useful. But then again if your car is doing that, you've probably already got a 8+ point roll bar which ties your unibody together as well as SFC's so its almost redundant

13.20 @ 106 is a good number for street tires. Get a 2.00 or better 60' and you'll be real close to a 12.

And if your car is an a4 then don't worry about the subs yet. But if it's a stick then you can dimple the rear 1/4 panels stock on street tires. I know this for a fact because the proof is in the driveway. 98 SS stock best pass of 13.30 @ 107 and it's got dimples in both rear quarterpanels. I like to powershift. :)

is 13.20 good for a full exhaust auto car?

with a 2.2sec short time...yeah...haha

Re: Went to the track tonight.

don't let the A4 fool you I cracked my dash on street tires at the track without SFC's. I hooked really well with 20psi in the tires and pulled a 1.8 which is outstanding for street tires but ended up with a cracked dash.

With drag radials you can easily hit a 1.9 60'. That right there should put you around a 12.9 :D

Next mod should be a stall. 3500 stall with tranny cooler and say hello to mid 12's!

Good luck at the track.

Well i would really like to get a stall because i know at this point it would help out a TON but i dont have money for something that expensive right now because of college. Maybe next summer! Right now i i think i might be able to afford a LS6 intake with a ported TB.

I hear ya. My TCI SSF3500 was $500 for the converter, $50 for the trans cooler and $350 for the install. But it was the best $900 I ever spent :D

Seriously, i'm not trying to be a smart ass, but if you can't afford a stall, how can you afford an LS6 intake and a ported TB? Does someone make really cheap intakes and TBs i don't know about?

Well you can get a LS6 intake for $350ish and my buddy can port TB's. But like the other guy said it cost him $900 for converter, cooler, and instal. I could put a intake on my car but i wouldnt want to pull the tranny to put a converter in the car. Plus i dont want to risk blowing the tranny, and right now i drive alot going to work and school so i need gas mileage for a few more years. :)
