Valvoline Motor oil
Does anyone use Valvoline? How is it? Does the quality compare to Castrol Syntec, or Mobil 1.

Valvoline is really good oil, prolly the best if you're talking conventionals (non-synthetics).
Castrol sucks. Period. So does Pennzoil. Probably the worst...dark smells like @ss, almost gritty feeling. If you want synthetic, I would (and do) stick with Mobil 1. Pretty much the best out there. I worked at Q-Lube/Jiffy Lube for like 4 years, so I worked with oils all the time and we always got all the TSBs straight from the oil manufacturers. Also lots of test and lubrication quality data sheets. |
I like the valvoline non-synthetic its what i use.

i always used Valvoline racing oils in my porsche.. i love it..
been using Amsoil now in my Z tho.. |
I hope you are changing your oil at intervals of 3000 miles maximum... I think Amsoil is that oil company with the scam that says you only have to change your oil every 50,000 miles or something idiotic like that...

I didnt mean Valvoline synthetics are bad, actually the opposite....probably on par with Mobil 1. It was actually down to Mobil 1 and Valvoline full Syn for me...I just chose the Mobil 1 because I can get it FREE at work :D
