Unbolting exhaust for track?? need asap

I am headed to the track tomorrow and want to run open exhaust to gain a few more HP... (it's still legal at the track im going to). I was under my camaro, and I was wondering if itis possible to unbolt the flanges past the cats to run "open exhaust"?? Has anyone done this, and if so how did you mount the pipe so it did not scrape the ground?? thanks..

As long as it is after the cats you will be fine, not worth the trouble IMOP though.

If this car sees any kind of wet weather, its not worth it. Sooner or later you'll have to mangle the exhaust to get it off. Just get a cut out.
