WHO HAS THE BEST REPUTATION TO TUNE AN LS1 WITH BOLT ONS?

do i have to get the pcm tuned after longtube install? wheres the best place and will they adjust the pcm perfectly?

Will they tune it perfectly if i send the pcm in the mail or is the only way to get it perfect be to take it to a dyno? and if i take it to a dyno place, what do i need to hook up to my car so they can adjust things? for my camaro i had to buy a air fuel calibrator so they could adjust for the rich/lean, is there an af calibrator i have to buy to get my ls1 tuned? is there anyone who can get it perfect through the mail? thanks guys sorry for being a pain

It's not necessary per se, but each car reacts a little different. Either way, there's a lot to be gained from a dynotune on even a full bolt-on car. I picked up 18 rwhp with a dynotune on a bolt-on car, including long tubes.

I went from 291 horsies to 308 horsies from a mini dyno tune at carolina auto masters (see linky in siggy). The guy that owns the place, Jeff, is truly a master. Getting 17 horsies just from tuning is cool. Plus, if you have an automatic you can have it tuned to power shift. I love it. Regardless if you have modded heavy or light (like me) I think it is money *well* spent. Hope you can find a guy as good as Jeff up there though.

Only performance mods done before Dyno tune:
SLP Lid, Cold Air Induction
SLP 160 degree thermo-ma-thingy
Flowmaster 80 series

After the dyno tune I did the throttle body bypass (see www.installuniversity.com) which claims to guarentee 6 horsies. I'll stick with 308 horsies that the dyno printed out until next time though
