top end

after the 3.73's and the TC down low my car seems like a moster but on the highway when u get on it it just doesn't feel like it used to if feels more like the motor is working just as hard but its not getting transferd to the wheels the rmps go up but it doesn't want to pull the car

any ideas or is this just cuz of the 3.73's and the TC

Get a LS6 intake. Works wonders for the top-end.

The torque converter doesn't necissarily have as much to do with it as the 3.73's. By going to a lower gear ( numerically higher) you'll have to turn more rpm per mph. As far as improving the situation, just add more power....intake, cam, headers, you know the drill

thanks for the info its reashuring to know the power is still there it just has to work harder since the addition of the 3.73,s i thought it was getting lost some where

ohh well bigger excuse to get a nice cam or ls6 intake and some headers can't beleave i've neglected to get headers all this time and did the bigger stuff first

Right on the money, I have a Y3000, coupled to 3.73's in my 01 Z28 (LS6 intake), and @ 70 MPH, when I give it aggressive throttle, the transmission drops a gear, TC unlocks, and the vehicle takes off with alot of pull.

SteveC :)
