Well, I think Ive decided to try and buy an LS1. Found a black 99 M6 T/A for 14000 with 45000 or so miles on it, dont remember exactly. Anyway, just wondering that when I go to look at the car, if there is anything specific I should look for, I know with LT1s to check the intake manifold for oil leak, and I of course know the basic stuff to check for (noises and what not)..Any LS1 specific things I should be on the lookout for? Does that price sound fair or should I keep shopping around? Maybe its time to start applying for loan, I swear, once Im out of debt on the SS Im ready to go back in on another F-Bod . Thanks for any insight!

things to check...hmmmmm
1 thing that was missing on mine was the rubber mounting insert for the xhaust...missing nut covers...nothin huge...but annoying.

 

the 2001-2002 year models came with a different cam and the LS6 intake.

Also, not sure on the other year models, but mine came standard with a power steering cooler as well..

 

make sure that the screen is still in the MAF
or intake area.. make sure they did not run
NOS in the car.. the rear end look for rubber
from being at the track.
