TC and Shorty headers

i was just wondering which stalls (TC) you guys recommend(3000 or 3500)? and since i am in california(with all the smog n stuff) does that mean i have to get short tube headers??

o2 z, a4, cutout, magnaflow, slp lid

Re: TC and Shorty headers

definitely go with the 3500.

also, shorties are CARB legal but they really don't make any more power than the 01-02 exhaust manifolds. (shorty style)

if i were you i'd probably spend the header money elsewhere if you want to stay emissions-legal. you could always get longtubes and pick up some good power, but you'd better have a friend with a state inspection station... ;)

Could get your stock manifolds extrude honed. Probably won't do much for you, but neither will shorties.

Some gears to go with the stall and the mods to plant the power will help you out much more.

maybe cams or gears?

Re: TC and Shorty headers

Gears to help keep you in your power range, other bolt ons then a tune. Check out the crane cams tuner.

Cam install w/tune would be more than $700 unless you DIY.
