Super Sucker Ram Air lower scoop for FTRA

As the producer of the SSRA I've been asked many times by FTRA owners if that scoop will fit there FTRA. It doesn't. The SSRA is an inch wider. With this interest, I've decided to come out with a scoop for the FTRA. Instead of ABS plastic it is made out of aluminum. The seams are welded. It is very strong. It attaches exactly like the SSRA lower scoop. You slide the scoop into the upper. It is then attached to the front bumper with five screws. I gave one to my buddy to try at the track tomorrow. He will be monitoring the AIT and coolant temps with Autotap. I don't know anybody with the SLP CAI. So I'm not sure if it will fit the SLP. If the dimensions are close then there should be no problem. If someones willng to host pics email me. This will not work with the FTRA extension that covers the radiator. The scoop angles away from the radiator to allow air to pass over the radiator like the SSRA. This will keep your coolant temps lower than if you were to run the FTRA extension. If the Whisper CAI is an exact copy of the FTRA than it will work on that system also.

since we are on the subject, what gains do you get with the ssra? i only have 3 mods right now, free ram air, super sucker, and tsp lid. does 25hp sound about right for these?

With my SLP lid and SSRA I picked up 24rwhp. You might have picked a few more with the TSP lid.

Wow, that seem very good to me!!!

You can't really count the FRA, thats where the SSRA goes.

So, with a LID and SSRA 25hp gain, now take it to the track and it will be more like 30-35 hp gain

hp vs rwhp

i always see you guys talking rwhp. whats the ratio (if any) of flywheel to rwhp? if i gain 25 rwhp, is it fair to say i gained about 30-35 at the flywheel?

I think if you have an M6 you lose 10% and a A4 15-20%, something like that.
