Re: ssra

the SSRA is way more effective than a standard CAI due to the "scoop" that goes parallel to the bottom of the car, and connects to the vertical induction becoming almost a ram-air effect. As far as swapping them out? You might see a bit of a gain over your cai. We're not talking on the dyno here as cai only has an effect on a moving car, but you might see 1-2 mph in the 1/4 and maybe even a drop in ET. SOTP feeling the ssra is your best bet.

Keep in mind that Austin now makes lower scoops to fit most other CAIs so that you don't have to replace your's. Just buy and add the lower.

Cool info, didn't know that.

Re: ssra

adding the scoop to the slp cai will be a VERY worthwhile mod.

check out www.lmperformance.com cause they sell the ssra and i think the scoop for the other cai kits.

several people have seen a .1sec loss on the track going from SSRA to having the lower scoop removed (making it like the slp cai). and this was shown on several back to back runs.
