So what gas mileage should I be getting M6?

My new to me 99 Ws6 6M is getting around 22 mpg mostly highway driving, I was hoping for more like 25mpg. The window sticker says 28 I know I won't get that, but only 22? Car has 50k. I was thinking maybe a nice tuneup?

bolt ons, decent size cam, mediocre tune...stock gears.

highway i run 25mpg consistently, going 75-80mph

mild city i get about 17-19mpg.

i suggest a tune up...maybe some new o2 sensors.

Assuming you're stock, you should be seeing close to 28-30mpg highway. I have a lid and catback and I see 300 miles to the tank consistently with mixed driving. On the highway I've gone as high as 32mpg going 75mph. Definately get it checked out.

Last trip to Vegas, got 29 MPG, but I kept my speed legal, sort of. Around town, in San Diego, 19/20 consistently. You should be doing better.

k side question. don't give me sh#t.. what all consists of a tune up besides actual computer tune, and spark plugs? I changed my spark plugs n wires and my car still doesn't do too well.

I thought it should be doing better....I was thinking wires, plugs, fuel filter, pcv valve, (not to mention I need to change the oil and I was going to do a coolant flush anyhow) but I have no ses/codes so it seems to me changing 02 sensors might be a waste of money.

The air filter looks pretty good (just bought the car used a month ago) I have not checked the maf-will do that too.
