So 2001+ Camaros Have The LS6 Intake Manifold?
Correct me of I'm wrong, I was told that 2001, 2002 Camaro's already have the LS6 Intake Manifold.
I'd be anxious to see pictures of what the old one looked like, from a 99, or 2000 or something - just for comparison. So, on my car, the only real thing I should do to improve intake right off, is replace the LID, right? Is it possible to replace the lid with a Corvette one? Pictures of my stuff is at http://www.headrushperformance.com/jason-camaro/ and will probably answer any questions you have. Thanks! |
Yes.. but why stop there? Get a ramair kit like from Fast Toys or SLP or .. hmm cant remember their name.. But there is another one too...
Then get to working on the exhaust ASAP. |
Was the other the SSRA Super Sucker Ram Air Kit? (http://www.lmperformance.com/1858/1.html). Looks interesting, but I worry about what might happen when driving through water puddles. (Heavy storms in Michigan tonight)

Yep...you got the LS6 intake, largest injectors of all the LS1's, 6.0L truck cam and the beefer clutch, some say is the Z06 clutch.
The lid is a good first mod, go aftermarket on that, then you can go from there. The only limit that applies is the cost to get there :) In other words the more $$$ you have the faster you can go....that's just the facts. Happy Modding! |
The '01-02 LS1's hav the LS6 intake manifold. It would be difficult to see the difference between the LS1 and LS6 pieces via pictures. Just be happy that you have one :)
