Thumbs up Slp Lid

The SLP Lid put a nice clean look under the hood. I was really surprised on the difference it made as far as throttle response and just the over all appearance. It idled kind of rough at first, but it went away after a minute or so. Great mod for the $$$

Re: Slp Lid

I think this topic has been covered before. Consensus was, a lid is a lid is a lid.

That said, yeah... I like my SLP lid.

Re: Slp Lid

I added the SLP lid and have recently been reading where they leak air around the back. I put some white lithium grease around the seal area and there is a significant gap along the back center area. This is with a K&N filter btw.

Anyone with the SLP lid should probably do some testing to see if they are pulling in unfiltered air like I have been doing.

One other thing regarding this lid in my application; It rubs the underside of my aftermarket hood. I'm not blaming the lid in this situation but a different brand might have an eighth inch lower profile and not rub or it could go the other way and be a serious problem. Anyway, that's my experience with the often stated "a lid is a lid is a lid".
