SLP Grille
grill
i pulled my grill out with pure force(ripped it out)..be careful though..you should pull each side out first before the middle and make sure that you have someone else holding the bumper in place while you pull...but realize that this probably will damage the grill so dont plan on selling it after you take it off..it wont break in half or anything but it might get bent up a little(mine did)...if you dont want to do that then you can take off the bumper and then unscrew the grill out from there then put the bumper back on.. its yer call...anyway the grill looks great when u put it on...u can see it on my car
I have done 2 billets.
Work from both outside edges towards the middle of the grill. First, the grill snaps in at the left and right side of the grill. Reach in with a dull butter knife or something to pry the grill out of the notches (watch the paint). Now the grill will be popped out from the far left and right. Next, if you remove the 3 pushpins along the bottom of the front fascia (underneath the car, I jacked the car up in the front) you can reach in behind the grill. There are 3 or 4 small clips that can be dislodged if you manipulate them from behind the grill. Pull on the grill at the same time. They should each pop off. These are left and right of center of the grill (2 on each side, I think). When finished with these, there will still be 2 large, 'rivet like' clips remaining on the top and bottom center. I've only been able to tear these last 2 out. Basically, you will be tearing the plastic stud through the 'nut like' retainer on the backside of the grill. Have someone hold the fascia as you tear the grill away. A rocking motion will work the plastic stud through the hole and then it will pop off. Top and bottom are the same.
Done and done! Or you could just tear it all off.
I salvaged the old grill on my second job. On the first job, I ruined the grill during the removal process.
I worked with 2 different billet grills. 1 required 4 screws, the other, 4 rivets. I prefer the screw type. Very easy to put on.
Good Luck!

Pull it!!
...I asked the same question when I replaced my stock grill. I ended up just pulling it. The clips fell behind the bumper, and the black plastic threaded pieces were pulled off. Dont plan on reusing it, or selling it if you do it this way!! The SS grill that I installed needed holes drilled and then black plastic Christmas Tress Plugs. Here is the grill that I used. I had a friend who had an SS he was selling, and he swapped grills with me. We took off the SS badge, and ordered a red bowtie. The total cost for my project was $12.95! That was quite a fortunate situation!
