my personal favorite is the b&m ripper, because it has a good sturdy feel, guides you into the gears, and has a good angle. I had the b&m in my Z and loved it. When I bought my SS it came with a pro 5.0, and I use the pro 5.0 only because it has been cut an inch and a half shorter so it shifts much quicker. The pro 5.0 angles towards the driver and can be uncomfortable. I would sell my b&m for $75 if you want it, because I have no use for it...one other thing though, you can put lou's short stick on a pro 5.0 but not on a B&M ripper.

Chech out the Qwik Stick. For only $39 bucks this is a must do mod. It's definitely the best mod for the money. Everyone tells me that it's almost as good as buying an aftermarket shifter. This is a new product that's selling great. It's $10 cheaper than Lous and it's not bent either. It makes shifts crisp, you'll never miss 2-3 again. Go to these sites under transmission.

hey if he backs out of that shifter for sale, I'll go next in line.. and I am in Houston..

anyways, I always heard that the Pro 5.0 was the best but appearantly its rubbed some people the wrong way...
I was under the impression that the angle on a Pro 5.0 was because of a Lous Short stick and that with the stock handle it would be straight??? I have the OEM Hurst and its fine and all but if I replace it, I want a straight handle... dont like that angled garbage..

I just talked to a guy who took out his Pro 5.0 because it was to loud. He replaced it with a Qwik Stick and said it was nearly as good.

If you just want a short stick, cut the bushing out of your stock shifter. It shortend mine 2" and with the rubber bushing gone, shifting is greatly improved. The look is the same as any other shorty since the boot covers everything.
Good luck

When I put my Pro 5.0 in I used a rubberized gasket material in between the base of the shifter/tranny to reduce noise due to the two different metals = ( no noise). I think the Pro 5.0 is the one of the best short throw shifter's out there ........ No missed shifts / adjustable stops , and a very solid feel

Head over to www.SpectacleSolutions.com and order the short stick from Brian. I think it's $28.

I've got it on my WS6 and I love it.

I have the stock hurst, but since I also write reviews for RaceHer.com, I am always willing to buy cheap parts and write my findings for all..

I like mine just fine and dont have any real problems with shifting at high rates of speed (both my arm and the engine rpms)
