Which Shifter?

Prolly has been done before but being that I am in the purchasing mood and was motivated by slprocks' thread, which shifter should I buy?

I was going to go for the ripper but I have heard individuals still messing up shifts. Is this a problem with the 5.0 as well? I like the return on the pro 5.0 also.

Tell me what you think!

Topic is beaten to death and all you're going to get are 99% personal opinions. Either one is much better than the stock piece. A poll won't do a darn bit of good compared to trying both shifters if you can find the people to let you do that. If you can't find anyone, just buy the one that you get the best deal on.

For the record, I'm a very satisfied Pro 5.0 shifter owner.

I'm very curious to see which comes out on top. I am also interested in buying a shifter.

Does anyone know if both the 5.0 and the Ripper are compatable with Lou's short stick?

the ripper isnt, the pro 5.o is. I believe the pro 5.o is what Im going to go with and buy lous as well. Keep in mind that the poll results are b&m -1 because I just voted the top choice to see my results thus far. I hear better things about the 5.o and I definately like the guarantee

Please don't think I am dumb for asking because I am considering a purchase also, but Where is a good place to get a Lou's and how is it better than stock and the 5.0?

They also have a combo package of the Pro 5.0 with LSS. Don't remember off the top of my head how much it costs though.

Yet another vote for the Pro 5.0.
I just cut the stick on mine 1" and it worked perfect. Didn't really see the need for Lou's stick.

There's also a guy on ebay that sells some short sticks for like $25 or so. He's been getting lots of good feedback on those.
