Lan,

I just purchased the Dynamic MotorSports tubular weld-in SFC's for $125. The fitment was very good and they are functionally just what I needed. Through my research about SFC's, I learned that a fair amount of your decision s/b based on how built up your car is. For example, my '01 Z28 has only mild mod's, so the DD or boxed SFC's would be a bit of overkill. Not that they wouldn't work, don't get me wrong... but overkill nonetheless. My biggest decision came down to: square vs. tubular design SFC's. In my case, I could've gone either way, but I elected to go with the tubular hoping they wouldn't show as much as the boxed SFC's might've. They're in, they work fine for me, they hardly show.

Much opinion exists here about which is best. My conclusion is this: any SFC will certainly help, you just have to determine how much SFC you need or want.

Just my $.02,
Daryl

Ok, I think i'm gonna go with the SLP bolt on. Would the qtp long tube headers still fit?

Can't say about those headers but SLP long tubes worked.

Well you got that right.

However the SLP units are aesthetically unpleasant

I have some you might be interested in and way better that any discussed here so far.

How much does the SLP SFC show from looking at the car from the side? It still looks fine, right?

SFC's are not the lowest thing under the car so if your concerned about hitting I would not worry.
If your concerned about them showing then black is the color because it blends in.
If I were you I would at least take a look at what I have before you buy some thing else

I'm running SpectacleSolutions double-diamond bolt-in SFC's and love them. I've got his short shift stick and STB also.

I think he sells the SFC's for $225. www.SpectacleSolutions.net

Don't believe the hype about bolt-ins not being strong enough or causing problems. I've been running them hard for over a year and when I checked the bolts before Bowling Green last weekend they were still tight.

We've got people in our club who have run them for many, many years, including several seasons of auto-x and they haven't slipped, stripped, come loose, elongated holes, or anything else.

$225 for DD SFC's with your choice of powdercoating color ... not a bad deal.

Roger, having them welded may not make them any stronger but you know for a fact that it isn't going to make them any weaker...so I really think it's just peace of mind. There's nothing wrong with bolt-ins, just make sure to check them every so often to make sure they're still tight, that's all.
